Volunteer at Family Promise's Bed Race 2017!

Join us at a really fun volunteer opportunity on Saturday, September 16 – “Bed Race 2017: the Race to End Homelessness” – one of Family Promise's big fundraisers of the year! (You can read more about it at www.familypromiseofgreaterdenver.org/events/bed-race/)

Teams of volunteers, family members, colleagues and friends will be building mock beds and racing them down a city street to raise money for families in need of housing. The beds symbolize the emergency shelter that Family Promise locations all over the country provide to more than 50,000 families every year! Besides the bed race, there will be live music, food trucks, and games and inflatables for kids. You don’t want to miss it!

The race takes place at Stapleton’s Conservatory Green Park (E 50th Ave. & Valentia St.). It’s going to be a huge event, and we need all the volunteers we can get! Specifically, we need people to:

  • Setup up before the race (8 am – 10 am)
  • Help out during the race: flag wavers, timers, coordinators for the kids’ activities, and much more! (anytime between 10 am and 2 pm)
  • Tear down after the race (2 pm – 4 pm)

If you would like to help out, please sign up onlinee at https://goo.gl/forms/Z8z1rv6djCMNZWux2, or contact Mel Davis at mdavis@familypromiseofgreaterdenver.org or 303-675-0713. We look forward to seeing you at the Bed Race!
