Having an effective board takes finding and matching board member skills with the skills your organization needs. Come learn the overall nominating process, from examining organizational needs to the first board meeting, so that new board members can join your organizations with a greater awareness of the mission and the work the organization does. Discuss with your colleagues at other agencies what they are doing. We highly encourage the Executive Director to bring the board chair and/or the nominating committee chair to the training.
