You will explore different types of boards and roles on boards, what makes a great board member and how local organizations find new board members. Learn how to approach organizations and get in touch with the right people in your community. Working with Metro Volunteer staff you will create a profile that will be used to match you with local organizations as well as help you identify what skills you can offer nonprofit organizations. Audience: Anyone interested in becoming a board member, brushing up on how to be an effective board member in the Denver area, or businesses interested in supporting their employees to become move involved in the community.
