from over 1,000 other opportunities available
through our website.
Short-term
Volunteer Opportunities
If your schedule allows you to volunteer primarily
during the evenings or on weekends, then our IMPACT
program is the perfect place to start! Impact
projects are tailor-made for those who have
other commitments but still want to give back to the
community.
Youth Volunteer
Opportunities
The Youth Volunteer Opportunities Guide, with over
100 nonprofit agencies listed, is a comprehensive
tool designed for use by children and youth,
teachers, youth group leaders, librarians and
parents.
Board Leadership Connection
If you are an individual
interested in nonprofit board service, you've come
to the right place. For individuals with
little or no board experience, Metro Volunteers
Board Leadership Connection will train you to serve as a board
member and help you choose a board that is the right
fit for your interests. For those with previous
board service, this program will help you expand
your capacity to govern effectively.

NON-PROFIT
SERVICES
Become a Partner
Agency of Metro Volunteers
For your nonprofit, changing the world
might mean mobilizing volunteers to work with kids,
feed the homeless, care for seniors or protect the
environment. By working together, we can ensure that
volunteers have meaningful experiences and that
everyone has the opportunity to "change
themselves and change the world."
Board
Leadership
Connection
If you are a nonprofit agency looking for new board
members, we can help. We serve nonprofit
agencies in the community who want to increase their
board capacity by matching qualified and diverse
individuals to nonprofit boards in need of new
members. In addition, Metro Volunteers Board
Leadership Connection
can provide training for your board of directors at
a location and time that is convenient for you, and
at a price that fits your budget. This training will
include a consultation with the facilitator to
prepare for a training that addresses your board's
unique challenges.
Propose a
group volunteer project
Do you have a regularly scheduled evening or
weekend project - or an evening or weekend
special event; and are you a Partner Agency of Metro
Volunteers? Let us provide your project with a
trained Project Coordinator (PC) to coordinate
volunteers coming to your scheduled opportunity.
These PC's and volunteers are managed by Metro
Volunteers, but come to serve at your agency.
Propose a project
managed by your agency
Do you want to post your regularly scheduled project
or special event on our Project Calendar? Do you
want to manage the project yourself? Have volunteers
sign up on our website to come to your agency and
serve.
Post Your
Opportunities
Do you have an ongoing project or volunteer position
to fill? A large special event? Post your volunteer
opportunities through our searchable database and
let volunteers easily access your information so
that they can contact you about your opportunities.

Each year hundreds of volunteers from across the metro Denver area share
their time and talents by mending fences, painting
shelters, building trails, feeding the hungry, and
helping those who need it most. In 2006 Metro
Volunteers mobilized over 300 individuals for this
event including 200 employees from 10 different
companies. Nonprofit agencies who wish to have the
assistance of volunteers on this day of service,
