Metro Volunteers gives you the knowledge and resources to create strong volunteer capacity at your organization. Whether you are an agency, church, or school, you can take an online national training or find a local training in Denver.

Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration. The Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) credential is offered for practitioners in volunteer resources management. It is designed to measure an individual's "knowledge-in-use"--the application of knowledge and skills by those with real-life experience in this role. This includes the assessment of a candidate's ability to structure tasks, produce ideas, and solve problems.

Energize. Nonprofit Risk Management Center. No Surprises Volunteer Risk Management Tutorial. Every volunteer program, from the smallest to the largest, can take steps to avoid surprise when it comes to providing a meaningful experience for its volunteers.

Society for Nonprofit Organizations. The Learning Institute for Nonprofit Organizations provides affordable, accessible educational programs for all involved in the nonprofit sector. These programs feature some of the finest experts in the field, and have been taught to over 16,000 learners since our founding in 1996. Classes include topics such as volunteer management, leadership in a nonprofit, etc.

An international team of recognized authorities on volunteer management has prepared inexpensive, online evaluations on the various aspects of volunteer program management: recruitment, risk management, organizational readiness, volunteer and staff relations.

Free Management Library, Authenticity Consulting, LLC. Developing and Managing Volunteer Programs. Volunteers should be managed as part of an overall, systematic program. The links present a wide variety of perspectives and materials about volunteer management programs/systems.
